Kaysville Ponds Fish Report

Utah Division of Wildlife

Report Date:

On Jan. 10, there was about four to five inches of good fishable on the second and third ponds. There was three to four inches of unstable ice on the first and fourth ponds. There is also a lot of open water from the inlet to the middle of first pond. We do not recommend venturing out on the first and fourth ponds at this time. Locals have been enjoying ice skating and ice fishing on the second and third ponds. Trout have been the quickest and most common catch when using smaller jigs tipped with a meal worm, wax worm, spike and even cocktail shrimp or PowerBait. Try suspending your lure about a 8-12 inches off the bottom. The best method for catching fish is to let the pole sit stable with an occasional jig.
