Intrepid docked under skipper Dan Nichols' hand on September 14 at Pt. Loma Sportfishing, back from a seven-day trip to Alijos Rocks and Cedros Island.

Chartermaster Tim Sellars of Stockton remarked, "We had an excellent trip. The crew was good and so were the anglers; no bad eggs. The food was wonderful. When we went out to Alijos Banks, the marlin were thicker than mackerel. We released the ones we hooked."

Art Lance of East Sound, WA won the jackpot for a 64.4-pound yellowfin tuna. He said he baited it with a sardine on a 2/0 ringed Gorilla hook tied to 40-pound P-Line. He used an Accurate 665 reel and a Calstar 765 L rod.

Chris Kugel of San Diego was second for a 63.8-pounder, and Larry Bohrer of Parker, CA took third place for a 63.5-pound Alijos Rocks yellowfin tuna.
