Well, now I've seen everything. After a slow morning, we departed the area and started back to Alijos rocks. About 100 miles from the rocks, it pops up. Eddie with his eagle eyes found it. It was a large white object. As we came closer to it, the water turned to gold. It was a freezer and it was loaded with Dorado. We did battle with the beauties of the sea for about 30 minutes, then they just stop biting, and we had one angler that was on something larger than a Dorado. After a long battle, it was gaffed by crew-member Brook. A nice 50 pound Yellowfin tuna, and as fast as the Dorado bit, so did the Yellowfin. We would do battle with Yellowfin tuna. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 50 to 70 pound range, but a few went over the century mark. Lucky angler today was Ray Magpli. Ray's fish was estamated around 150 pounds. We would drift away from the freezer, but we did mark it and will try our luck at once again in the morning. What an afternoon, but that's what long-range fishing is all about. Weather wise, it was flat, clear skies, and very warm today, at one point I was looking for the atoll (Clipperton). So until tomorrow, wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.
