Well, we had a pretty good storm last night and the temps have stayed pretty cool today. The East Walker is still fishing well, it's a little green but the fish are biting pretty good. Small midge patterns like Silver Streaks, WD-40's, flashback emergers, as well as streamers like BH mini leeches, hornbergs and zuddlers are also doing well. Tomorrow is the fly fishing tournament for the Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Program so there'll be a fair number of anglers on the upper stretch, but the lower stretch and the Nevada side shouldn't be too crowded. Both the latter stretches have also been fishing very well.

The Twins have started producing some nice browns, as well as quite a few rainbows. We've seen several 5 to 8lb browns, and are fully expecting to see some fish over 10 pounds this month, especially with the cold weather.

The Virginias are also doing very well, either casting lures or flies. Wobbling spoons like bouyants and hot shots are doing well, and seal buggers, matukas with soft hackle or aggravator prince type droppers have all been doing well.

Kirman is also fishing well these days, much better than the last couple years. Lots of cutts in the 17 to 25 inch range, and the brookies are running from about 14 to 18 inches. Lots of different patterns have been working, some of the ones I've heard of lately have been white flash-a-buggers, black/purple seal buggers, stillwater nymphs, scud patterns, water boatman patterns, matukas, etc. The rest of this month should be pretty good up there.

If you can stand the cold weather, now is a great time to get after those trout!!
