Trout fishing is very good from the shore in Cowboy and South coves. Howden Cove is productive for boaters, but so are Cowboy and South. Shore anglers use garlic-scented Power Bait or silver/blue Kastmasters. Trollers use Rapalas in the top eight to 15 feet of water. Striper bite is starting to pick up. Nothing large but a keepers are being caught trolling in the open water or from the marina dock. Big fish of the week was a 10.72 pound trout caught by Sharon Rivergo from the shore in South Cove.
