Striper bite is turning on. Striper numbers are up and size is improving. Stripers are still showing for anglers from Antioch Pittsburg to Freeport. Most can be enticed with Savage Prey and Angry Eyes in the Rio Vista area corridor. Salmon plants are contributing to the upswing in the bite. Bank anglers this past week along the highway 160 from Decker to Isleton Bridge are getting an occasional bass on cut bait or pile worms . Cut Shad and Sardines are a great option for the Stripers and crawlers scored some nice catfish. Courtesy of Dan Mathisen Outdoors.
