Report Date:
http://norcal.fishreports.comThe water temperature is about 76 degrees. Water has about 3 feet of clarity. Trout are being caught from the shoreline near the Main Recreation Area, Oaks and the Pines. Boaters have been having the best luck at Sandy Point, and Scow Canyon. Chartreuse, Rainbow or Garlic Power Bait for the trout is best. Fish your Power bait using a sliding sinker rig. If the bite slows try using inflated night crawlers to catch both trout and bass. The broken-back fire-tiger Rapala, Mepps, and Kastmasters are being used to catch trout on the troll.
Shad-colored crank baits or spinners have been catching bass. Drop shotting roboworms off the points and rocks has been killer for spotted bass. The Main Rec, Scow Canyon and boat launch being the better spots. In the preserve area there has been a lot of bass and catfish sighting. The only trick is that you can not bring a gas motor into that area. Only kayaks or electric motors.
Catfish have been biting in the back of Scow Canyon on nightcrawlers and chicken livers. With water temps warming up we expect to see more catfish bites.
Crappie and bluegills are still being caught at the boat launch area and the Main Rec fishing peir. (510) 223-1661
