Report Date:
http://norcal.fishreports.comFishing on Hat Creek is at its best early, before the sun gets high in the sky and then right at sunset. It's still a little early, but have a couple October Caddis dries with you at Sunset. It won't be long before those orange bugs start coming off the water.
PMDs in #18 are the top bug early, but you can get fish to chase after a dun imitation near sunset too. You will find the most consistent fishing/hook-ups near the Power House #2 riffle. Bigger fish can found hunting the flats at sun up and near sun down. Lower Hat: Rim Rock Ranch (530) 335-7114; The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555
