Surface temperature is 73 degrees.
There are plenty of trout to be caught. There have been two plants of lighting trout this month. Few trout have been caught with the temperatures being so hot. Try trolling jointed Rapalas or Kastmasters. If you choose to bait fish try down in the Pines area with chartreuse Power Bait. Lots of aggressive bass are being caught off the points. Late season bass bite is turning on here. Schools have been seen under docks hiding in the shade. Fish have been caught along the shoreline on both sides of the Main Rec. Catfish bite is still slow. The bite is on for crappies and bluegill. Search in Scow Canyon or the boat launch pier. (510) 223-1661
