(Redding to Balls Ferry): River is dirty and there is less than a foot of visibility from Anderson to Balls Ferry. Trout can be caught in shallower water but it's very difficult to have much success. The Fly Shop (530) 222-3555
(Colusa): Sturgeon bite has begun. Ghost shrimp, pile worms and eel all are worth trying. River is low and murky, but not dirty. Use 4 to 6 ounces of weight to get in the strike zone. Sturgeon are concentrated from Colusa to Meridien. Kittle's (530) 458-4868
