Report Date:
http://wildlife.utah.govOn Jan. 30, conservation officer Devin Christensen reported that the ice thickness varied from eight inches in some areas to four to five inches in others. Anglers are catching crappie and very few perch. For crappie, try using small glow in the dark jigs -- like a Rat Finkee -- with a waxworm, mealworm or nightcrawler on the end. The warmer temperatures will likely melt the ice very quickly and leave ice conditions unsafe. Please use extreme caution if you venture out on the ice.
