With unseasonably high air temperatures the water temps have slowly risen as well. As the shallows warm, anglers can expect a little more action as the fish turn on. Catfish have been the top fish as of late with the bite being good in most coves. Anchovies have been the top bait and one lucky angler reeled in a catfish weighing 7.26 pounds. Fishing action has picked up at Willow Beach, and one angler reeled in a striper nearing eight pounds with a black and gold flake AC Plug near Monkey Hole.
