Eagle Valley Reservoir Fish Report

Nevada Department of Wildlife

Report Date:

http://www.ndow.org

NDOW planted about 5,000 rainbow trout in the reservoir the week of Feb. 9. Over the holiday weekend, anglers found good success catching both the stockers and holdover rainbows primarily with PowerBait. Orange was the color of choice and those using mixed color PowerBait did well as long as orange was one of the colors. A father and son caught and released approximately 60 fish until they ran out of PowerBait whereupon they switched to worms, but didn't have as much luck with that. If practicing catch and release please use single barbless hooks as treble hooks to make releasing the fish easier for both you and the fish.
