Deer Creek Reservoir Fish Report

Utah Division of Wildlife

Report Date:

http://wildlife.utah.gov

The main ramp at Deer Creek is currently open, but the island ramp will remain closed until further notice. The Charleston dirt ramp has been permanently closed. There are currently 20 tagged fish at the reservoir, and if you catch one, you can return it to the state park office for a prize. If you catch any fish with clipped fins, please measure them to the millimeter and report the data to the park office or to the Springville DWR office. Boaters are having success with shad raps. Once you find the perch, the trout aren't far behind. Quagga mussel veligers have been identified and confirmed via DNA analysis in a water sample taken from Deer Creek Reservoir. As such, all watercraft that exit Deer Creek are now required to decontaminate. The reservoir is currently 87 percent full, and the island has water surrounding it. Call the state park at 435-654-0171 to ask about current conditions or check Deer Creek's Facebook status for updated information.
