http://www.qualifier105.com/We awoke this morning with the boat receiving a fresh water bath courtesy of mother nature. The rain soon cleared however and we enjoyed a nice sunny afternoon. We spent most of the day rigging up tackle, sharing pointers and playing cards. We stopped to wet our lines late in the afternoon and managed to wrestle up a couple nice yellows before continuing on our journey south. These weren't just any yellowtail, to add a little spice to the stop there was a brand new pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses as a prize for the first YT to hit the deck. After a few drifts Paul Weber and Frank Butren hooked up almost simultaneously and the race was on for a sweet pair of shades. A few minutes later after some hard pulling and drag tightening Paul edged out Frank bringing a nice 20 lb yellow to gaff. In Frank's defense Paul did have a slight head start. As the sun went down we enjoyed a hearty chicken dinner and good company. Everyone is eager to get further south and we will be kelping tomorrow. Wish us luck!
