East Canyon Reservoir & State Park Fish Report

Utah Division of Wildlife

Report Date:

Fishing is great at the reservoir. Boaters have been doing very well using Hammer Time lures tipped with a worm. Rapalas and other trolling lures are working well, too. Shore fishing below the cabins just to the right of the boat ramp receives a lot of pressure, but the fishing continues to be good. Anglers have had success using a marshmallow and worm combo, as well as garlic-scented rainbow PowerBait. Please remember that if you are going to launch any boat at East Canyon, you must complete a quagga mussel self-certification form and place it on your dashboard. If you don't have the completed form on your dashboard, you will receive a citation. If no one is at the gate when you arrive, just drive down to the boat ramp and pull a blank quagga self-certification form out of the mailbox that's under the big quagga mussel sign. We need your help to keep quagga out of East Canyon. Many thanks to Park Manager Chris Haramoto and Park Ranger Kent Cummings for the report.
