Bridgeport trout bite solid

Bridgeport is still doing pretty well trolling and bait fishing from boats, the shore anglers are picking up some fish with bait but not as many as the anglers fishing from boats. Trolling has been good with blades and crawlers as well as small Rapalas and Needlefish. Bait anglers have been doing well with power bait, mice tails and inflated crawlers. We've had rainbows up to 9 pounds caught this week, as well as lots of nice 1 to 2.5 pound browns and some nice perch making a showing up to 2.5 pounds as well. We haven't had any reports from fly anglers on the reservoir this week but I would expect stripping some big streamers in the narrow section near the public marina would be a good bet for them.
