Shad bite is very good from the shore or boat. Use 1-ounce egg singer and a shad dart. Boaters use mini-grubs or mini-jigs with 1 or 2 ounce sinkers. Stripers are in the area. Use sardines or pile worms. Stock up on bait because small stripers are stealing bait. Smallmouth bass in the 1 to 2 pound class are along the rip-rap. Use crank baits or Texas-rig plastic worms.
