Yellowtail Action

We enjoyed a fun morning of good action on a very nice grade of Yellowtail. The surface iron was the hot ticket today with the mint green 7x light being the jig of choice.Everyone finished up with limits and we headed off on the hunt offshore for the remainder of the afternoon. Unfortunately we didn't find action, although the water conditions were there, we didn't find any floatsom, kelps or schools in that area and only had small school sized Yellowfin on the jigs, that area will produce in the next few weeks. Northbound we go in search of calmer sea state, the wind has picked up considerably, but this rig , equipped with stabilizers, makes for a nice ride anyhow. Our New York steak dinner was delicious!
