Captain Mark Gillette took the Eclipse out to the north west in California waters to catch 38 bluefin tuna, 1 yellowfin tuna and 4 yellowtail for his two and a half day trip.
The San Diego's three quarter day trips have been on fire with the yellowtail counts. Captain Taro returned yesterday with 91 yellowtail. Taro was quoted, "they wanted to die on the fly lined baits" but also a few on the surface iron and yo yo iron.
Get ready, because things are heating up quickly.
