http://norcal.fishreports.comThis past week he said has been a little slower, catching an average of 2 limits a trip all week and through the weekend. The kokanee bite slowed also this week, but came back to life on Sunday. The kokanee are down about 20 to 45 feet deep and are hitting on an orange Apex, tipped with corn, behind a Captain Jack's C.J. Dodger. The trout were all at 5 feet to 20 feet down. Nichols said he experienced a better late bite this week. He added that most of the yearling trout are full of bugs, which is normal as the water is rising and picking up ants and bug's from the shore. Captain Jack Yandell, of Captain Jack's Tackle, agreed with Nichols on the fishing possibilities and said that he talked to 3 regular trollers who picked up three limits of mixed fish this week. Both Nichols and Yandell also agree that the fish are scattered all over the lake, making it a one here and one there experience. The water temperature is 62 degrees, up 7 degrees from the Memorial Day weekend. Dick Nichols (559) 841-3317; Shaver Lake Marina (559) 841-3324; Shaver Lake Sports (559) 841-2740
