Todays SFR charter aboard the Aloha Spirit was a big success with good times and quality yellowtail hitting the deck. Captain Corey put us on the spot then it was patience and perseverance that was the name of the game as the quality of yellowtail gradually improved thoughout the day. We stayed on the yellowtail grounds all day and ended with 26 yellowtail for our days effort with numerous larger grade fish caught later in the day. Numerous bonita and barracuda were landed as well with a final fish count on: 26 yellowtail, 8 barracuda, 23 bonita, 7 kelp bass, 11 rockfish, 2 whitefish and 1 sculpin for the 22 anglers aboard. Expect the bite to improve during the week so check the Aloha Spirit's website at www.alohaspirit.com for opening on their upcoming open party trips.
