Fishing continues to be slow at Shaver Lake. Shaver definitely needs a plant soon or the kokanee have to show up. Bank fishermen aren't doing much better, with a fish per road the norm. Trout dough bait or crawlers have had the best results. The smallmouth bass bite is hot. The rocks around Boy Scout Cove have been very popular from a boat, but rocky areas of the lake are good, too.
