Many catfish and bass were caught this week from both the shore and areas only accessible by baot. The shoreline frome Drake Cove to the launch ramp has been producing a good variety of fish including bluegill and the occasional trout. Nightcrawlers and shad baits were the most successful regardless of the time of day. Baits soaked or sprayed with a garlic attractant has proven to be an essential addition to any fishermen’s arsenal. White and pink crappie jigs and small flies worked very well for the bluegill as well. Jack Rabbit Flats and the rock walls from Johnson Bay to Clark Canyon produced a lot of smallmouth and largemouth at an average of 2lbs.

Bass: Good,Average size: 2lbs
Bluegill: Good, Average size: 1lb
Carp: Fair
Catfish: Good, Average size: 1.75lbs
