Trout fishing from boat or shore have started to improve greatly, mainly in the south end of the Lake all the way up to Hetch Hetchy. The best baits to use are Mice Tails, Powerbait and night crawlers. If you like trolling or throwing lures try Kastmasters, gold in color. Rapals and Roster Tails have also been working well.
Stripers are starting to show as well from boats or shore. The preferred baits to use have been Anchovies, Sardines and Chicken Livers.
Large and Small mouth Bass are still in deeper waters with a few reports. Most of the reports are from anglers who catch and release.
Catfish has slowed down a bit this week. Most of our anglers are mainly targeting Trout. If you want to try for catfish you might try Chicken Livers, Sardines, Anchovies and Night Crawlers.
