Report Date:
http://www.dfw.state.or.usFall Chinook fishing is fair to good on the Nestucca. We are at the peak of the run, and the Nestucca has been fishing really well this season, so it’s just a matter of hitting the right conditions and the right day. North Coast rivers jumped up about a foot and a half Sunday night. They are still on the way up and are predicted to peak early Wednesday morning, so the Nestucca should be back in good shape by the weekend. All of the usual techniques, such as bobber fishing, divers and bait, and back bouncing should be effective. Remember that 1st Bridge near Beaver is the upstream deadline for fall Chinook fishing.
Three Rivers offers some decent bank fishing opportunities for fall Chinook, and there are still some summer steelhead in the system.
