Trinity Lake anglers are enjoying improving catch rates for multiple species as lake levels are holding at just five feet from full pool. Smallmouth bass have been active with many targeting the north end dredger piles. Gitzits, plastics and crankbaits are always popular baits.

Tim Brady at Trinity Outdoors in Weaverville mentioned that some landlocked king salmon are showing for those targeting them trolling with downriggers. Trout are also being taken near the mouths of creeks such as Swift Creek and Stuart's Fork.
