We had a great time on our SFR Charter aboard Captain Shawn Steward's Aloha Spirit out of Captain Hook's Sportfishing. We departed early in the morning in some pretty snotty conditions, however we were greeted with flat calm water at the islands. As usual, we raffled off some nice prizes including some SFR T-shirts and sweatshirts as well as some Seaguar Flourocarbon .

We picked away at a nice mixed bag of Rockfish including Reds, Widows, Blues, Starries, and Bocaccio. There was very little current at the kelp grounds but we gave the exotics a valid attempt. At the end of the day we made a few nice drifts as we got into some flatties and some calico bass. We even had a Giant Seabass that smoked Jeff Brooks' reel! It was another wonderful day fishing with our friends and we had another great charter aboard the Aloha Spirit. Shawn's made so many nice improvements to the boat including an awesome new bait tank, remodeled galley, and much more!
