Trout anglers should have a wonderful first weekend of November with 2,500 legals and 500 larger (12- to 14-inch) rainbow trout scheduled to be stocked here. Fishing for bass and other warmwater species should be slowing with the cooling surface temperatures. The lake is 55 percent full.

Depending on which way the wind blows, aquatic weeds can really stack up at the boat ramp at Willow Lake. Boaters should make sure to clean off weeds from boat trailers before they leave the ramp or launch in another waterbody.
