marlin would be in full swing, but only a couple have been caught, so
far and it appears to be the "luck of the draw", so to speak. The
overall counts for a combined total of 32 fishing days with the
Gaviota Sportfishing Fleet & Fish Cabo Fleet reflected 13 stripers,
(11 released) 11 dorado, 1 wahoo and 4 yellowfin tuna. High boat for
the week was the "Tuna Time", with two stripers released for a single
fishing day.
Cabo Climate: Warming up as it moves into summer, temps from 74
nights to 97 daytime highs, with partly cloudy days.
Sea Conditions: Warm & stable water from the Golden Gate to the
Gorda Banks, ranging from 81 to 83 degrees.
Best Fishing Area: Around the 95 Fathom Spot, about 10 miles
southeast of Cabo for billfish.
Best Lure/Bait: Not reported
Live Bait Supply: Good, mostly caballitos.

The full moon has had an effect on the Mazatlan catches and only every third offshore cruiser was able to land a sailfish. It also seemed to hobble the blue marlin action, too, which had been picking up steam and then, fizzled this week.
