Dead Drifts are a Must

The East is running at about 167 cfs right now.  The fishing down there has been a little hit and miss for some but really good for others.  We’ve started to get some good reports on streamers, and the crawdad patterns are still working well.  The caddis nymphs are still bagging some fish but the small midge patterns are coming on strong as the weather cools.  The flows are still great and the water temps are dropping and the fish are all happy and healthy.  The anglers that are having the most success are working some of the riffles as well as some of the deeper pools.  Dead drifts are a must, these fish have seen a lot of flies this summer and can be very picky.
