Hello everyone; Well the bite was on, and it’s Fathers day. The bite started at 0400 hours, and didn’t stop until we departed at 15:00 hours. The Yellows were excellent quality, with most of the fish in the 25 to 35 pound range, with a few going over 40 plus.
The bite started out on the slab bait, then once the sun came up, it was live mackerel, iron, dropper loop, sliding sinker. All you had to be was in the water to get a bite. With this size fish, we did have some losses.
With things going on in the world today, we needed some smiles, so lots of the photos were taken with out their mask, but masks were being used throughout the trip. This is the new way of the world, and we will do what we have to do.
We are now headed north and try our luck at some Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna. Our passengers have plenty of Yellowtail and want to try their luck at some more tuna action. Our weather is not the best, but not that bad. We will arrive to the grounds around midnight, so with that note, wish luck. Team R/p.
