Our recent SFR extended overnight charter on the Eldorado fishing with Captain Eddie Moreno was a big success as numerous quality yellowtail would hit the decks. Fishing with Captain Moreno and his experienced crew aboard the Eldorado is always a pleasure and this trip proved to be no exception. The 29 anglers aboard experienced excellent kelp paddy yellowtail fish and everyone had numerous chances at hooking a quality 12 to 30 pound yellowtail off of one of the many kelp paddies we encountered. We trolled hard between paddies but never did have any tuna or dorado strikes on the jigs. Kelp paddies keep us busy and on our toes as you never knew what size fish was gonna bite next. Captain Eddie kept us on the water late in order to hit a few more paddies on the way home and several anglers were rewared with quality yellowtail. By the time fishing was done for the day we had landed 48 quality yellowtail highlighted by Mike Bilyeu's 20+ pounder that took jackpot honors for the trip. Way to go Mike !!!
