http://www.sportfishingreport.comWe arrived at H&M LANDING at around 5pm and got in line for a parking spot, it took 2 hours before we got one. After dinner we headed down to the BLUE HORIZON and were greeted by Chef Steve and Deckhand Jake who were finishing up the boat from the previous trip. By 9pm we had everyone at the boat and Capt Jim Sharp arrived shortly thereafter, after boarding and getting our bunks we all met in the galley. Capt Jim gave us our briefing and said that we would be headed due west and not south as everyone was figuring, a new spot of Albacore had been found and we willing to play. We started our troll rotation at around 6am and within a few minutes the shout of hook-up was being shouted. I was fortunate enough to get the first troll Albacore and we picked up a few more at this stop. We had 1/2 of the 14 folks on their first ever tuna trip, so our tuna shuffle was more like a two step in the beginning. It didn\'t take long for everyone to get the hang of it and the shuffle was working well. We ended the day with 19 Albacore and just as many farmed to fight another day, we also landed 20 Skipjack Tuna, 2 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Bluefin Tuna. All in all it was a great day on the water and the weather was perfect, Capt Jim and his crew did an outstanding job and made the trip on to remember. If you would like any of these pictures, you can email me at john@sportfishingreport.com and I\'ll forward them to you.
Capt Jim Sharp also asked me to pass on some info, he has some prime open dates in September and October if your interested in chartering the boat. Give him a call at 760-805-6283 and mention WWW.SPORTFISHINGREPORT.COM and you\'ll get a special charter rate.
