Early Bird Gets the Whale

Tradewinds Crew

Passengers and crew of the Sunrise got a two for one deal during their fishing trip this morning! While out Bottom Fishing some Gray Whales decided to cruise by and wave a farewell flipper to their bony finned friends. As Gray Whales are baleen cetaceans, bottom fish (rockfish and ling cod) are not part of their daily diets but the whales do gather amphipod crustaceans near the sea floor so these creatues do have instances of interaction. Whether you want to go fishing or Whale Watching specifically, there are pretty great odds you'll get your own chance to lend a wave to a flippered friend. Book your next trip online or give us a call today!

If you would like to go fishing or whale watching with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (541) 765-2345.
