Fishing pressure has slowed as flows have dropped

Fishing pressure has slowed as flows have dropped. Anglers plunking Spin-n-Glos and/or running a plug have been picking up a few steelhead. As flows continue to drop, anglers are having some success catching half pounders while side drifting eggs.

ODFW has a crew conducting an angler creel survey through April 30 to monitor angling pressure on the river and steelhead catch.

There are new license requirements to fish for winter steelhead in 2023 on south coast rivers and anglers should check the new regulation book prior to fishing.
