The Crooked river has started to come back down in CFS and is currently at 83. The fish should recover fast and find their feeding lanes again so I would expect fishing to get good again in a few days if not quicker than that. Midges and BWO’s were the main hatches before the spike in flows and I would expect that to be the same. Nymphing with jig leeches, eggs, perdigons, midges, and small pheasant tails has been good. Keep an eye out for small stones too as the weather warms. Prineville Reservoir is currently at 55% capacity and still filling which is great news for the crooked and hopefully means we can avoid the low flows later in the season
