Open and accessible all year. Water temperatures are cold reducing fish activity. All boat ramps are closed. Fishing for crappie and largemouth bass has been slow. Yellow perch are probably your best bet right now.
There are abundant brown bullhead catfish. Large goldfish up 12 inches are also abundant but rarely caught.
Water levels generally remain very similar and drop as the day progresses as water is released for power generation. There are numerous points of access on the reservoir as most property surrounding the reservoir is BLM or PacifiCorp property. The reservoir will be drained sometime this month as J.C. Boyle Dam is removed
