Thief Valley Reservoir currently is about 75 percent full and should slowly fill through the winter. The reservoir drained substantially over the summer, and we are unsure how many fish that were stocked this last year survived the drawdown. Any fish that did survive may have grown quickly and could be a nice size by now.
We have not received any recent reports of ice conditions, which are likely poor because of the mild winter. If the weather cools, anglers should use extreme caution and carefully evaluate ice thickness before attempting to travel onto the reservoir.
