Snow is falling on highway 89 and it looks like it is sticking, so we would advise caution if you would like to head over the pass to Ah-Di-Na. You should be able to get in to Ash Camp and have a great day. Clarity on the lower end of the lake is holding in the good zone, even though the flows bumped above 1,000 CFS. There has been some good midge and Blue Wing Olive hatches, nymphing with the small, black flies is the best way to hook up. The BP Weiss, Two-Bit Hooker, and black Micro May are all working. Other good flies to throw right now are Rubberlegs, brown or black in #6 or #8, Perdigons and Olive Hotspots. Get in on the late season action on the McCloud before the rains come and blow it out.
Hot Flies:
• Morrish's Adult October Caddis
• Pat's Rubberlegs
• Mercer's Tungsten October Pupa
• Olive Hotspot
• Coppertop Duracell
• Sweet Pea - #16/
• Copper John Red - #16/
• Jigged Birds Nest - Natural, Hot Spot #14-16
• Walt's Worm
