Steelhead fishing on the North Fork Nehalem has been slow and pressure has been light the past couple weeks. It's in decent shape as of this writing but will rise Friday night according to the weather forecast and may blow out over the weekend. Once it drops back into shape there are still fish trickling in to be caught.‌

The majority of the hatchery run is over, but there are still wild broodstock hatchery steelhead coming in and will continue through the season, although numbers will be lower than earlier in the run. There's also catch-and-release opportunity for wild steelhead.
