The Lower Deschutes is fishing well. Caddis are important throughout the day and caddis nymphs have been hot when fish are not rising. PMDs and green drakes should also round out the dry box while jigged leeches, two-bits, copper jons, prince nymphs, nitro caddis, and SOB-Czeck nymphs have been great. Utilizing tungsten beaded nymphs or a split shot or two will help get a nice low drift with your nymphs, this is especially important on hot days when the sun is overhead. As always swinging around crayfish, leeches, and sculpin is always a fun way to get some grabs and cover some water.
