Fishing has been excellent this summer on Baily Pond for stocked trout and green sunfish. We should see the trout fishing slow down some with the extreme heat of summer, but the green sunfish fishing will remain excellent. Bait fishing with salmon eggs under a bobber or powerbait off the bottom remains the most effective methods on the pond. Small spinners are still catching a few fish, but we should see that taper off until the pond cools down. Fly fisherman retrieving small nymphs just under the surface are finding fish early and late in the day.
