Please keep in mind the following information: Boca Reservoir offers excellent shore fishing opportunities off the dam. Anglers using nightcrawlers and powerbait on carolina rigs have been successful. For trolling trout or kokanee at Boca, fish in the 60-foot water column. The majority of the kokanee are around 12 inches in size. Due to the lake being full, there is limited shore access. Similar to Donner Lake, there is also high boat traffic on the weekends and afternoons, so it's best to fish in the morning for optimal results. Currently, Boca Reservoir is at 96% capacity.
