Last night I got this text from our guide Steve Erickson
As of about 5:44 this evening. The water in the ws/tc was great. Hard to know what happened afterwards as that’s when the storm really hit ( literally a face full of dirt and sand from s huge dust devil in the tc parking lot ) we caught a lot of fish on split case pmd nymphs, red two bits, and a fly I don’t know the name of but it’s a light green hurl over a shiny light brown body and a light colored brass bead.
And just to be sure that things didn’t go haywire overnight I texted Aaron as he and Troy took off for a 3 day camp trip from Trout Creek to Harpham this morning and Trout Dirty replied from the river.
All is well. I looked at NWS rainfall totals and it was only up to a half inch. The way that storm churned though, I was pretty worried about river flooding but thankfully it didn’t happen!
Go fish!
Caddis, PMD, Pale Evening Duns, spent mayflies and spent caddis, Perdigons, caddis pupa, soft hackles, Frenchie’s, stonefly nymphs and jig streamers.
