East Lake might not be at the top of the list but we've had success with balanced leeches, damsels, and chironomids with some fantastic hatches lately. Don’t expect to see a whole lot of callibaetis though as that's greatly slowed down over the past few weeks. For a change of pace, try using a beetle, ant, or chubby pattern instead of an indicator. Stripping small buggers or baitfish patterns has also yielded good results. The best time to fish seems to be early morning or late evening.Paulina is fishing similarly, so if you’re headed there, expect similar conditions. Scuds, ice cream cones, beetles, and two bits are all great flies to fish with there.
