There are so many different colors on display in Bishop Creek Canyon and Rick's Garden it's hard to figure out where to look. From the purple Penstemons to the yellow Mule's Ear to the fuchsia Fireweed and the pink Wild Roses and the white Brewer's Angelica and don't forget the yellow Columbine and red Penstemons and lots of little yellow flowers I have yet to identify - and still more yet to come. Haven't got pictures of them all, but I'll try this week. Thought you might want to know what's all that yellow stuff on the lake - have no fear no one spilled paint - it's Pine Pollen and it's probably what's making your eyes water and nose run.

Fishing the Inlets (all three) with just about anything. Trolling flashers and NightCrawlers or just a swivel, split-shot and worm or any lure with a bit of red on it or a WoolyBugger. Driftin' with a NightCrawler around the rock piles. Shore fishing with Salmon Eggs, NightCrawlers or PowerBait. Rick & I went out for a ride on a glassy Lake Sabrina Saturday evening and there were fish everywhere - schools at the DingleBerry Inlet, and at the George Inlet and still more at the Little George Inlet and up by the spillway and in Jack's Bay (that's the one across from the marina with the little rock slide).

High's in the low 80s and lows in the low. We did have an unforecasted day of clouds and on again off again shower activity on Friday. We'll be droppin' a few degrees this coming week. Thought I best leave in the parts about the sucker fish cuz there are still lots of people fishing for those 'browns' (guess they don't read the fishing report). All those fish you see next to the dam, sucker fish. What is sucker fish - a sucker fish is a fish that usually lives in your fish aquarium and keeps it free of algae. And just how did they come to reside at Lake Sabrina - well, we think that years ago, some 'angler' fished illegally with live fish - sucker fish - and either they weren't hooked very well on the hook and got off or when the 'angler' was done fishing, he threw whatever live sucker fish he had into the Lake.

All USFS campgrounds are now open. The price this year to camp at the Forest Service campgrounds are $21.00. The only USFS campground that accepts reservations is Four Jeffery. There 31 sites available for reservations: you can book on-line at www.recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777. All other campsites at Four Jeffery and the other campgrounds are first come, first served. There is a full hook-up RV campground - Creekside RV park which is on the road to South Lake.

The skeeters have made they're annual return - and they are nasty little creatures - best come prepared with the bug juice . Remember your polarized dark glasses and sunscreen -. You've got that sun coming at you in all directions and the rays from the water are deadly. Wash your hands after applying sunscreen, bug juice or any other fu-fu juice.

Max and Sweet Pea are learning the fine art of Frisbee fetching while Rick and Len learn the fine art of the throwing of the Frisbee - we'll try and get some pictures for you next week. Lake Sabrina Boat Landing has gone to summer hours. That means we'll be opening at 7:00am and stay open until 7:00pm. The Café is now open daily for Breakfast at 7:00am to 11:00am with Lunch being served from 11:00am to 4:00pm. We have homemade pie, sodas, beer, wine, coffee, tea and hot cocoa. The Lake Sabrina crew is looking forward to seeing you all this year.
