There were several limits of trout taken as well, and trollers using lead core 3 to 4 colors with dodger/crawler or dodger/needlefish combos. Best areas were the dam, in front of Johnsons, and Harveys Bay. Shore anglers did well on e point, with Powerbait the top producer.
Crappie showed up back in the narrows and in Jackrabbit flats with mini jigs and red worms both working for the slabs. Catfish also were in the narrows, with mackerel accounting for the kitties.
Bow fishing for carp has been steady and Arrowhead Island, Storke Flats and just about anywhere with lots of bulrush has been productive. Bluegill and red ear were also reported, but baits and locations were unavailable.

Bass fishing has been good early and late with top waters, blades and jerkbait all working. Shad have been spotted up tight in Dead Horse Canyon and Cachuma Creek, so if you're into dipping shad, come on up. Trolling for trout was hit or miss, but trolling lead core 4 to 5 colors with dodger/crawler combos was the most effective, although shore fishing in the Mohawk area with inflated worms resulted in some nice catches of hold-over......

Bass fishing has been good for both largies and smallies in just about any cove in the lake. The fish are tight up to the shore, and blades, jerkbaits, drop shot and fly lined plastics have been accounting for the majority of catches. Trout fishing has been fair, but the "bows" that come in have all been quality, with several between 5 and 7 being weighed in at the tackle shop.
