Anglers are finding bass spread out all over lake Oroville, reported Fil Torres at Oroville Outdoors. "Fish are anywhere from the surface on down to as much as 60 or 70 feet", said Torres. "Lots of fish are being caught deep on jigs and dropshot baits, yet there is also a pretty fair topwater bite on Spooks and Pop-R's. Some better fish up to four pounds are hitting on the topwaters."
Torres continued, "Anglers targeting coho salmon are dropping down from 50 to 70 feet, using hoochies or 'crawler rigs. Most of the cohos are running around 16 inches, and the bigger fish are definitely deeper."
