Report Date:
http://www.truckeeriveroutfitters.comThe flows on the East Walker have been outstanding. They have been holding around 150 CFS for a week or more. On the California side fish have been looking up some to PMD's in the mornings and Caddis later in the day. Dry dropper rigs and indicator rigs have also been catching fish.
Look for rising fish in the mornings and put on a PMD or a Caddis in size 16-18. For Nymphing try a small Stone with a Caddis or a PMD dropper. The water is getting pretty warm in the afternoons so keep an eye on the water temps.
In Nevada there is not as much surface activity. There have been some little Yellow Stones hatching in the early mornings and the evenings but not too many fish rising. Nymphing with a small Golden Stone with a Caddis dropper has been working well. The water is really getting warm on the NV side in the afternoons so get there early.
